Cincinnati’s Hoop It Up 3x3 Street Fest Huge Success

CINCINNATI, OH (July, 2023)— Mayor Aftab and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission are excited to announce that they will be hosting a Hoop It Up 3x3 Basketball Tournament on August 6th at City Hall. Established in 1989 and owned by NBA legend Kevin Garnett, Hoop It Up is a renowned 3x3 basketball tour. The tournament will take place at Cincinnati’s City Hall, located at 801 Plum St., with games running from 10 AM to 6 PM. Additionally, a youth skills clinic will be held at Laurel Park from 9 AM to 12 PM for children of all ages.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kevin Garnett and his iconic, longstanding basketball organization, one that is known worldwide for engaging youth, fostering community, and promoting health and wellbeing,” Mayor Aftab said. “I am so looking forward to bringing Hoop It Up to Cincinnati for our first 3 on 3 basketball tournament.”

Teams will compete in various age divisions from 13 to 19. Each team can have up to five players and is guaranteed at least four games during the tournament. Registration is free for Cincinnati residents at HoopItUp.com, but space is limited. Non-residents must pay a $75 team registration fee.

The CRC Youth Skills Clinic is designed for kids of all ages and skill levels. Back-to-school vendors will also be present to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.
