Sixers and Hoop It Up Team Up With 3x360 Sports
PHILADELPHIA, PA (August, 2022) – The Philadelphia 76ers are excited to announce that they will host the iconic Hoop It Up 3x3 basketball tournament on August 13-14. Owned by NBA legend Kevin Garnett, Hoop It Up has been a staple in 3x3 basketball since 1989. The tournament will take place at Competitive Edge Sports in King of Prussia, with games scheduled from 9 am-6 pm on Saturday, August 13th. The event will be promoted and co-managed by 3x360 Sports.
The event will feature recreational teams competing across various age divisions, from ages 8 to 18, as well as adult divisions at all competition levels. Each team can have up to five players and is guaranteed at least four games during the tournament. The registration fee for recreational teams is $150.
Additionally, Hoop It Up Pro Am League teams will compete for a chance at the National Championship. Winners of the Pro Am division will earn the opportunity to try out with the 76ers' NBA G-League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. They will also receive a $1000 travel stipend to the Hoop It Up National Championship in Tempe, Arizona, with a chance to secure an automatic berth in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour, which offers over $1 million in annual prize money. The registration fee for the Pro Am division is $250.
